Yep! - good point - if the GW crowd were consistent in their "doctrine" they'd be advocating a return to pre 20th century lifestyle, roles & responsibilities for all.

I just got an impassioned eco message on the glories of clothes-lines. It started me thinking about what will happen to the status of women if all of these "green" policies take hold: no washers, driers, vacuums, etc. And all without AC, right?

PS: How much carbon was ADDED by all of the extra whining and panting of the greenies during earth hour?

SD - I'm not trying to cop out with a cliche'. It IS Christ's mission to save us :)
My argument is that the resultant "effect" of this particular effort is insufficient to make a positive impact on the state of our environment. There are too many other variables affecting global climate change that a few light bulbs won't change. Ultimately this is yet another diversion for people to follow after instead of responding in obedience to Christ. As long as they are distracted by the condition of the environment they are not going to understand the eternal plight of their own soul - that is a far greater cause to be involved with.

God gave humans brains and the ability to know right from wrong. It is up to humans to use their brains and do the right, responsible thing. It is too easy to say it is God's job. That is a cop-out in my books. I think it is awesome that people from all over the world got together at the same time to make a point and cause an effect. Who knows what we can do next time.
